Elevated flares and flares tips are provided with continuous combined pilot burners always in operation in order to guarantee ignition and combustion of a fuel gas release.

 

– Offshore Ignition and Control Panels

Control panel is used to monitor presence of pilot flame at all time and it should automatically activate, in case of flame failure, to supply a flame “ball” to pilot ignition pipe so flame presence can be restored.
